An interesting evening unfolded at the second edition of CG Live when the hugely experienced actor Padmasree Tom Alter and Cyrus Dastur descended onto Bandra Base to discuss the importance of humour in art. The duo are a part of a long running and hugely successful play ‘When God Said Cheers,’ which addresses and uses the very same point of discussion. The small but extremely discerning crowd enjoyed every little bit of this surreal and intimate experience and interaction with such golden artistes.
The second half of the evening was guided into a realm of extremely relaxed world music on acoustic guitar by guitar player and composer Neil Mukherjee who played an hour long set of his flamenco inspired originals laced with Carnatic and Western classical techniques. The audiences, like always, left with wide smiles on their faces.
